By accessing or using CodeCheckHQ ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

CodeCheckHQ is a self-guided pre-inspection walk-through tool. It lets you review checklist items, record your own pass/fail/N/A marks and measurements, attach photos, and save PDF records. It does not independently verify code compliance or local requirements. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time with reasonable notice to users when feasible.

CodeCheckHQ is a reference tool. It is NOT a replacement for your local building inspector, Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), or a professional code consultation. Our checklists are for reference only and do not determine compliance or guarantee your work will pass inspection. Building codes and local amendments change. Always verify current requirements with your local code official or AHJ. You are solely responsible for ensuring your work complies with all applicable codes, permits, and regulations in your jurisdiction.

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to: - Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration - Maintain the security of your account credentials - Accept responsibility for all activities under your account - Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

You agree not to: - Use the Service for any unlawful purpose - Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems - Interfere with or disrupt the Service - Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission - Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service - Share your paid subscription with unauthorized users Violation of these policies may result in account suspension or termination.

Some features of CodeCheckHQ require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to: - Pay the applicable fees as described at the time of purchase - Provide valid payment information (processed securely via our payment provider) - Accept recurring billing for subscription plans unless cancelled Plans: We offer monthly, yearly, and day pass options. Day passes are one-time purchases with no recurring billing. Free Tier: Free accounts are limited to 2 walk-through records. Refunds: See our Refund Policy for details. Subscription fees are generally non-refundable after the refund window.

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of CodeCheckHQ and its licensors. Your Content: You retain ownership of any check results, reports, and project data you create through the Service. Checklist Content: The building code checklists and code references provided by CodeCheckHQ are derived from publicly available building codes and standards. They are provided for reference purposes only.

To the maximum extent permitted by law: CodeCheckHQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any construction failures, inspection failures, code violations, or related damages resulting from reliance on the information provided by the Service.

We may terminate or suspend your account for conduct that violates these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your data after a reasonable grace period.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify registered users by email for material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
